Macramazing Times last Sat!

Thanks everyone who came to last week's Linear Materials workshop. I had an amazing time teaching some macrame and crochet basics, but don't let that be the end of your new life as a linear material artist! Below are a few pictures and links for info and inspiration to give you some ideas with what you can do with your newfound skills. Enjoy!

Basic Macrame Refresher
thanks to Joyce Bennett of "Mad About Macrame" Thanks a lot Joy.

A great sampler to give you some ideas for different patterns to try. Notice all the different ways you can use Clove Hitches just by switching up the anchor chord and playing with tension.

And even more great projects that use macrame to get you thinking
about new projects

For a good how to crochet reminder, check out Lion Brand Yarn's Site.
Also don't forget to check out the rest of Lion Brand's Website for some great pattern ideas.

For some really out there crochet, make sure to go check out the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef at the Cooper Hewitt Museum now! Its there until January, so go check it out before it's gone. Click here for more info.

Or take a look at the amazing stuff the Icelandic Love Corporation has made with the same hyperbolic crochet concept I showed you guys

And for anyone looking for a more let's say practical project, Ravelry is a great source for patterns, many of them free!
