The Fashion Re/Action Festival returns to JEM this year for another slew of crafty DIY workshops! Join us as we think about sustainable fashion through making.
Join us on Saturday, July 16th from 1-5pm for the first preview workshop of this year's Festival! Macrame ain't just groovy plant hangers anymore with crafter superbrain Shirley Rempe. She'll teach you how to turn a few simple knots into beautiful jewelry, tops, bags, housewares, decorative wall hangings, and, well, plant hangers (we still like those anyway!) It's time to dust off the rolls of craft cord and get your hands ready for some callouses! The event is FREE and open to the public. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring things to hang or incorporate into your creation. Demonstration starts promptly at 1pm (don't miss it!) with open studio time afterwards.
